Jenna Fox, Local Sales Manager
In April of 2012 I joined the team at Journal Broadcast Group in Springfield as the Local Sales Manager. On April 1, 2015 Journal Broadcast Group merged into the E.W. Scripps Company. My role as Local Sales Manager has continued here for our Springfield stations: KTTS 94.7-FM, KSPW 96.5-FM, KSGF Newstalk 104.1-FM/AM, and KRVI The River 106.7-FM. I’m very excited that these two great companies have come together to form a larger and even more dynamic broadcasting group. We will continue to be committed and serve our listeners, advertisers, and community with passion and excellence for what we do.

Melissa Companik, Marketing & Advertising Executive
I am a strategic thinker and thrive on problem solving. I truly enjoy learning about the businesses and the clients I work with. I want to help uncover what truly keeps them up at night and how I can help fix that. I graduated from MSU, when it was still SMSU, with a degree in Political Science. My education helped me to become a strategic thinker and a problem solver. I enjoy pulling information and facts together to evaluate a challenge. In marketing, you establish your goal. Maybe you want to increase sales by 7% this year. Do you know the best way to get to that goal? Is it utilizing radio, TV, social networking? What if your message isn’t getting the results you want? Do you change advertising mediums all together or do you change the message? What if you have set backs, is there a plan in place to address those set backs? Advertising and Marketing can be fun and exciting! Once we establish your goal, it’s a team effort to make sure we know the best way to meet that goal. Let myself and the Journal Broadcast Team help you figure out your destination and then we can discover the best route to get there.
Cassi Dowling, Business Marketing Specialist
By offering myself as an employee to area businesses I help them on finding their niche and growing their strengths to become the very best at what they want to be known for. I do not tip-toe around weaknesses but work on managing them and get the whole business team to exemplify the companies ideals and offer the best product and service to their customers. Once the business is healthy and the customers are happy, we as a team develop a marketing strategy highlighting the strengths to invite new customers into their business. This can be done through grassroots, mass media, online and community involvement. Together all businesses can be known for something great – it is my job to find their greatness and tell the world about it.
